Every camper at Camp Veritans is encouraged to take part in our wide variety of exciting activities and programs, at their pace. With gentle and spirited guidance of our well-trained staff, there are over 60 acres of athletic fields, open space, hiking trails, playgrounds and climbing areas for your child to enjoy. All campers are always encouraged to participate in activities but are never forced, a rule that is born of the philosophy that when activities are positively introduced in an inviting and fun manner, children will naturally want to try them.
Our beautiful pool sits as the centerpiece of our camp, and an oasis for your children on the hazy, humid days of summer. We take our swimming program very seriously. Here at Camp Veritans we pride ourselves on the goal of teaching children how to swim and how to swim well. We follow the American Red Cross guidelines for swim instruction. Our swim instructors receive extensive training on how to work with children of all ages and abilities. Campers receive swim instruction daily, in small group settings, with a trained swim instructor and the assistance of a group staff member. Safety is our top priority at all times at the pool. We strictly adhere to the ACA required 1:30, lifeguard to camper ratio. Lifeguards are certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED. There is a swim supervisor on deck, and our Aquatics Director oversees the entire swim program.
Nestled in 2.5 acres of wooded pine tree forest, our Ropes & Challenge Course is managed by a team of ropes specialists and includes over 15 team building, problem solving obstacles. Offering a variety of low elements (taking place on the ground, or only a few feet above the ground) and high elements (taking place in trees or raised platforms, and requiring a belay for safety) it is an outdoor personal development system built to challenge campers of all ages.
Now, these are fun! A winding, eighth-of-a-mile track gives our older campers the opportunity to test their skills behind the wheel of a self-powered, high performance go cart. Fast and furious, kids take turns racing the track for time, or can go head-to-head in ‘round robin’ tournament style competition.
An activity that is as exciting and fun for campers today as it was for campers in ancient Israel. Our archery program is available to kids in our middle and upper camp, both as a regular activity and special elective. Taught by our trained and expert bowman, campers love coming to archery to develop and practice their skills.
We’re happy to be able to include Gymnastics to our regular summer lineup of programming. With trained and certified gymnastics instructors, campers learn things from the fundamentals of tumbling, to using basic floor equipment.
Led by a trained and certified instructor, campers learn the fundamentals of throwing, catching, good sportsmanship and basic skills. From soccer, baseball, basketball and football to hockey, lacrosse, ultimate-frisbee, volleyball and more, campers have an array of activities programmed for them each day.
A staple at every day camp or overnight camp, our program allows campers to express themselves creatively and through a variety of mediums. From making wind chimes and birdhouses to lanyard bracelets and necklaces to tie-dying and jewelry making, Arts & Crafts defines summertime at camp.
Defined as “the art or practice of preparing food for consumption”, campers in our Cooking program have a great time learning basic techniques, and working with a wide variety of ingredients to create summer and cultural favorites!
Campers young and old love STEM. Their summer camp program gives kids the opportunity to learn about science through interactive, hands-on and exciting activities. Children become junior scientists for the summer, and embark on a series of very cool scientific adventures, including: discovering chemical reactions, building and launching rockets, checking out security systems and playing with cool spy equipment.

Kids from all over the area love our dance program! This is a high energy program taught by someone who loves to dance and entertain.
As a camp founded on Jewish tradition and Jewish values, Tarboot is our Jewish soul. Through the program, campers learn about Jewish spirit and Israeli culture.
From creating and tasting regional foods, to learning arts, music, dance and customs, your children will have a fun time exploring this vibrant culture.
It’s Blue vs. White in a three-day competition of athletics and spirit. Culminating with our famous ‘Apache-Relay’, an 18-event, camp-wide relay race, Color War is easily a camp favorite with both kids and parents getting in on the fun.
Kickball, Whiffle-ball, Gaga, Four Square, Jump Rope, Camp Skits, Movies, Game Room and more! We have an assortment of games and activities to keep your children entertained all day long, and in any kind of weather.
