Jessica Tratner; Yeladim Unit Head
Jessica has been with our Yeladim Program since its introduction in 2014. She has created a nurturing environment for our youngest campers, those turning 4 by October 15th. Jessica shares her loves of camp in a way that is special for this age group. Jessica taught children who are deaf from ages 3 – 21 in Maryland, Florida and New York City for 21 years. For the past three years, Jessica has turned her attention to Early Intervention, working with children birth – three years old. Jessica enjoys coming to camp with her children who have been at Camp Veritans since 2010.
Kristie Ellis; Unit Head, Kinneret
Kristie has been teaching preschool for the past 20 years, first for the Navy in Lakehurst, NJ then at the YM-YWHA and Wayne Y. She has also taught Robotics and Sign Language. Kristie joined Camp Veritans in 2012 and has been working with our youngest campers and loving every moment! She also has two sons of her own who keep her on her toes.
Robyn Murray; Unit Head, El Al
Robyn has been a part of the CV family since 2008. During the school year Robyn teaches special needs children from Kindergarten through 2nd grade in the Paterson School District. Camp is a family affair for Robyn, as her two children have been campers and staff at Camp Veritans and her husband, Mark, is an active member of the Veritans Club.
Lori Felsenstein; Unit Head, Negev
Lori has been part of the Camp Veritans family since 2013 (well, her first summer was as a camper here at CV in 1972) and she’s been having a blast. During the off-season she works as a social worker in the public school systems. She also has two children; one daughter and one son, both of whom attended and worked at Camp Veritans.
Grace Blake; Unit Head, Galil
No stranger to our CV family, Grace has been a Veritans camper, counselor CIT Supervisor and now Galil Unit Head. She is a graduate of Montclair State University with a Master’s Degree in Education with certification to teach K-5 and Students with Disabilities. Grace makes sure your camper enjoys a great Veritans experience from the moment they step on the bus as she coordinates fun bus activities and competitions. During the year she is a teacher in the public schools.
Marissa Arama – Masada Unit Head
Marissa has been part of the Camp Veritans family for quite a while. She attended CV for many years as a camper, and joined CV again as an Assistant Teacher for Yeladim in 2014. Following two years working with the youngest campers, Marissa made the leap to working with the oldest campers in Masada. Marissa transitioned from Masada counselor to Unit Head in 2018 and has enjoyed every moment, whether at camp or out on a trip with her campers. Marissa graduated from Ramapo College with a B.A in Psychology and Elementary Education. During the year Marissa is a teacher in the public schools system.
